Welcome...

I am incredibly excited to be greeting your children in-person this year! This is my 24th year of teaching at this wonderful District and the students, parents, staff, and community continue to amaze me with their support and belief in the highest quality of education. It is an honor to teach here and have had my family be a part of this special place.

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher.  After graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz, I went to San Francisco State University to obtain a teaching credential.  In 2010, I finished a Master’s program that specialized in integrating technology into the curriculum.  I thoroughly enjoy being a lifelong learner and continually take courses and workshops.  I strive to share that enthusiasm with my students.  Trying new things keeps me humble and helps me stay connected to these young learners.

Again, we are starting this year unlike any other. I really look forward to getting to know you all either virtually or, hopefully, in-person very soon. I will be adding new pages to this website soon, including a daily blog where you can read a little about what your children are doing in the class each day!

My Mission:

My mission is to instill in my students a love of learning.  Each day I will use my enthusiasm for teaching to encourage curiosity, imagination, and creativity.  With each interaction, I will treat my students with compassion, respect, and dignity.  I will celebrate both success and failure as an opportunity to grow.
